The crowd rose to their feet as Sílvio Luís Matorin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Guaberto Cucao. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. Eliézer Sarmento hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Aírton Queirós didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ladislao Serafo went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Aírton Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lázaro Chap, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Quebra Ossos FC's Aírton Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lázaro Chap in the 27th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lázaro Chap in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aírton Queirós prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 40th minute, Eliézer Dracena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the match, Mainumby's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Luís Matorin came free, but Guaberto Cucao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Mainumby's Francisco Dominic was substituted for Nunez Gizon. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sílvio Corrêa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Luís Gustavo de Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 54 minutes into the game, Lázaro Chap lined in a short shot 1-3 behind a frustrated Aírton Queirós. In the 62nd match minute, Mainumby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Sugoi to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Quebra Ossos FC booed when Mainumby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Dominic didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Sílvio Corrêa sped through Mainumby's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Guaberto Cucao. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Ladislao Serafo took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for Aírton Queirós to make any attempt to save it. If Lázaro Chap had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th match minute, Quebra Ossos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Luís Matorin to maneuver through the defense. Eliézer Sarmento hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After 78 minutes, Lázaro Chap made it 2-5 with a short kick to the right side. Quebra Ossos FC's Aírton Queirós tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Eliézer Dracena's late challenge caught a Mainumby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliézer Dracena helped the player get up and apologised. When the final whistle sounded Mainumby left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Quebra Ossos FC.
