Kaan Winter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lázaro Chap in the 9th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mainumby's zone, Pan Mo Xiang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guaberto Cucao came out of the goal and Pan Mo Xiang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mainumby's Guaberto Cucao proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Mainumby from getting a goal against them. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mainumby's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cesare Silvestre was slow to take the kick. During this time STORM CORNER F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Cesare Silvestre almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mainumby's Guaberto Cucao did a great save. When Ede Szász came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the STORM CORNER F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ede Szász couldn't finish the play. In the 25thth minute of the game Lázaro Chap who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but STORM CORNER F.C.'s Kaan Winter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 30 minutes into the match, STORM CORNER F.C.'s Ede Szász sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guaberto Cucao narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Justino Estavan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guaberto Cucao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ede Szász, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Mainumby's goal looked a bit too open when Ede Szász came free, but Guaberto Cucao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Mainumby booed when STORM CORNER F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stellan Josefsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
