Líbano's Hisham Abdul Nasser played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Hagi in the 8th minute of play. Yiğit Özdoğru was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 18th minute. Galatasaray SK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Latif Al Fakir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Akram Munahid in the 19th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristiano Hagi got free with Hisham Abdul Nasser in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Latif Al Fakir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dirar Rashid, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 22 minutes into the match, Galatasaray SK's goal looked a bit too open when Akram Munahid came free, but Latif Al Fakir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Líbano were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Galatasaray SK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bashar Al Azra took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Akram Munahid got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Latif Al Fakir quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bashar Al Azra got free with Latif Al Fakir in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Líbano players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
