But to his dismay, Andriy Shevchenko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The audience was convinced that Olof Derksen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Latif Al Fakir was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. After 30 minutes, Olof Derksen made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Galatasaray SK's Latif Al Fakir tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Olof Derksen took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Latif Al Fakir. Latif Al Fakir dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Latif Al Fakir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olof Derksen in the 46th minute of play.

Ullún made a substitution. Sukma Adriansyah replaced Eleuterio Ioritz. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olof Derksen was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sukma Adriansyah got free with Latif Al Fakir in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Ullún booed when Galatasaray SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Galatasaray SK's Latif Al Fakir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sukma Adriansyah in the 95th minute of play. When the match was over Ullún could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Galatasaray SK throughout the match.
