In the 9th minute, Hélio Donatello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serginho Nogueira was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Jagiellonia Denver's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sufi Orun was slow to take the kick. During this time Calesso FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Sufi Orun almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Jagiellonia Denver's Eric Gary did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Genev in the 20th minute of play forced Jagiellonia Denver's goalkeeper Eric Gary to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cícero Pereira in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eric Gary, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 24th minute Emil Genev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Gary saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Calesso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Michal Majdoch came free, but Serginho Nogueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dorival Rezende hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Calesso FC's zone, Michal Majdoch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serginho Nogueira came out of the goal and Michal Majdoch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eric Gary made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Cícero Pereira sent off a good shot on target. Eric Gary made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cícero Pereira in the 46th minute.

Jagiellonia Denver made a substitution. Özalp Durkaya replaced Sun Lin. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hélio Donatello got free with Serginho Nogueira in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Jagiellonia Denver defense, Cícero Pereira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eric Gary. The Jagiellonia Denver fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eric Gary should have stopped the shot. Hélio Donatello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 61 played minutes Jagiellonia Denver got a freekick which was hit by Özalp Durkaya. After 65 played minutes Calesso FC got a freekick which was hit by Frederico Cabral. In the 71st match minute, Jagiellonia Denver was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélio Donatello to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Calesso FC booed when Jagiellonia Denver was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélio Donatello didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th minute Rudolf Garreau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serginho Nogueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serginho Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Olof Åkesson, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Serginho Nogueira came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Jagiellonia Denver's Per-Olof Åkesson. But to his dismay, Per-Olof Åkesson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cícero Pereira in the 80th minute of play forced Jagiellonia Denver's goalkeeper Eric Gary to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eric Gary showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kåre Wahlstrøm in the 81st minute of the match. The supporters of Jagiellonia Denver booed when Calesso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aca Moris didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rudolf Garreau in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Serginho Nogueira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Serginho Nogueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudolf Garreau in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 94th minute Rudolf Garreau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serginho Nogueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The attack was good, but when Rudolf Garreau in the 95th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 97th minute of the match, Rudolf Garreau tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Serginho Nogueira saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jagiellonia Denver were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
