Colo-Colo made a substitution. Carlitos Caszely replaced Pablo Solari. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teobaldo Ubarna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tomas Snow showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubén Martínez, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Teobaldo Ubarna managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Renacer del Quijano FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Teobaldo Ubarna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. A sloppy throw-in by Tomislav Parev in the 71st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by El Renacer del Quijano FC's Peneios Protopsaltis. The referee ignored Colo-Colo's protests and gave Tomislav Parev a yellow card for diving instead. Peneios Protopsaltis, 73 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. The El Renacer del Quijano FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Colo-Colo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
