Caetano Paza in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rambo Ramírez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 21 minutes into the match, I.A.S.A's goal looked a bit too open when Rubén Martínez came free, but Txilar Redin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rambo Ramírez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 40th minute, Colo-Colo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Danel Boliana fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With an all-out effort, I.A.S.A's Rambo Ramírez threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Danel Boliana, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 45 minutes into the match, Colo-Colo's goal looked a bit too open when Danel Boliana came free, but Rambo Ramírez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Colo-Colo's Marco-Antonio Etcheverry got a free kick in the 47th minute. Marco-Antonio Etcheverry hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

After having played for 76 minutes, Rubén Martínez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colo-Colo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rubén Martínez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
