The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Darman Ardiansyah in the 2ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Saturnino Txartiko, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Academia Club's Julio-César Dely Valdés got a free kick in the 4th minute. Luisito Salvino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio-César Dely Valdés, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cahit Eker in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luisito Salvino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Cahit Eker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 14 minutes, Cahit Eker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academia Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cahit Eker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Academia Club getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Julio-César Dely Valdés hit a great ball. Darman Ardiansyah succeeded in the game's 24th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Bartolo Cuarto's late challenge caught a Academia Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bartolo Cuarto helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Julio-César Dely Valdés managed to get in a good position for a shot. Academia Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Julio-César Dely Valdés was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luisito Salvino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cahit Eker in the 31st minute of play forced Japy Man's goalkeeper Luisito Salvino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Japy Man defense, Julio-César Dely Valdés kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luisito Salvino. The Japy Man fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luisito Salvino should have stopped the shot. Luisito Salvino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio-César Dely Valdés in the 35th minute of the match. Luisito Salvino came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Academia Club's Cahit Eker. But to his dismay, Cahit Eker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. When Cahit Eker came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Academia Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cahit Eker couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute, Cahit Eker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Darman Ardiansyah made a kick off. Julio-César Dely Valdés in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luisito Salvino, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 56th match minute, Japy Man was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Horvath to maneuver through the defense. Julio-César Dely Valdés sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bartolo Cuarto kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After 63 minutes of play, Academia Club's Cahit Eker made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luisito Salvino was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cahit Eker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisito Salvino having to interfere. Julio-César Dely Valdés had several of the Japy Man's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 73 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-5 score and a disappointed Luisito Salvino as he didn't even see the shot coming. 76 minutes into the match, Japy Man's goal looked a bit too open when Julio-César Dely Valdés came free, but Luisito Salvino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Julio-César Dely Valdés cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Luisito Salvino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cahit Ekers short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Luisito Salvino to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 81 minutes into the game, Academia Club's Julio-César Dely Valdés nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luisito Salvino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-7. Cahit Eker struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Luisito Salvino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Academia Club. Darman Ardiansyah hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Academia Club walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
