Klaus Amerhauser was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 15 minutes into the match. After 14 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for TIGER! TIGER:s Dida Vasconcelos showed great skill when he stopped Best Štriker:s penalty. Seagulls's Aurelio Rexino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Seagulls from getting a goal against them. 20 minutes into the match, TIGER's goal looked a bit too open when Best Štriker came free, but Dida Vasconcelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Seagulls's Nildo Matos got a free kick in the 21st minute. With a little luck, Seagulls's Aurelio Rexino got control of the ball when Christoph Hambloch tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the TIGER defense, Best Štriker kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dida Vasconcelos. The TIGER fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dida Vasconcelos should have stopped the shot. In the 27th minute of the match, Börje Blom got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aurelio Rexino was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. TIGER's Dida Vasconcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roderick van Boxel in the 29th minute of play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Dida Vasconcelos made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Marco Mook sent off a good shot on target. In the 55th minute of the match Seagulls got a corner. TIGER's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ben Rensenbrink ran over to the corner to take the kick. Nildo Matos was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. TIGER's Dida Vasconcelos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save TIGER from getting a goal against them. 59 minutes into the match, Börje Blom notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Seagulls's Aurelio Rexino. Aurelio Rexino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Börje Blom came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the TIGER fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Börje Blom couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 79 in the game by Best Štriker from a close distance when the talented Dida Vasconcelos managed to make a qualified save. TIGER's players were relieved. Dariusz Rekawiczka recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th match minute, Seagulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dariusz Rekawiczka to maneuver through the defense.
