In the 26th match minute, Club Deportivo Santiago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sotomayor Mesia to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Club Deportivo Santiago's Santino Mora got control of the ball when Alberto Tonete tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jairo Adames charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jairo Adames the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute, Jairo Adames hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 46 played minutes Club Deportivo Santiago got a freekick which was hit by Xaiver Bara. The supporters of Newpi Academy booed when Club Deportivo Santiago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Adames didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arturo Montiel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Newpi Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Zuberoa Mesia came free, but Richard Textex reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Alberto Tonete ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Santino Mora was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The audience was convinced that Alberto Tonete's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santino Mora was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Deportivo Santiago's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antonio Perrando was slow to take the kick. During this time Newpi Academy's players had a chance to rest.
