The corner led to ŠK Horelica's Dorel Istrate getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. ŠK Horelica's Marcelo Gagriel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurice Odonnell in the 18th minute of play. Maurice Odonnell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Varennes defense, Matúš Závodský kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilberto Boone. The Varennes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilberto Boone should have stopped the shot. Gilberto Boone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matúš Závodský, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Bernardo Goudreau scored 1-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo Gagriel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gilberto Boone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matúš Závodský in the 29th minute of play. The supporters of ŠK Horelica booed when Varennes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Dominguez didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Varennes's Marcelo Gagriel threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bernardo Goudreau, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 37 played minutes, ŠK Horelica's Ondrej Poliovka shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gilberto Boone came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ŠK Horelica reached it. In the 41st minute, Bernardo Goudreau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maurice Odonnell was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maurice Odonnell in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Gagriel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 52nd minute Seth Luke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Gagriel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Varennes were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after ŠK Horelica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Théophile Berger took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Bernardo Goudreau managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Dorel Istrate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Boone having to interfere. Gilberto Boone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matúš Závodský, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Gilberto Boone yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ŠK Horelica walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
