ŠK Horelica's Marcelo Gagriel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurice Odonnell in the 8th minute of play. After 9 minutes ŠK Horelica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Théophile Berger who took care of the corner kick. In the 11th minute of the match Sabino Monsanto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gilberto Boone skillfully saved the ball. In the 13th minute Maurice Odonnell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Gagriel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Varennes's Maurice Odonnell got a free kick in the 15th minute. Gilberto Boone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matúš Závodský, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Gilberto Boone successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Matúš Závodský came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the ŠK Horelica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matúš Závodský couldn't finish the play. Théophile Berger kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Varennes's goalkeeper Gilberto Boone had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matúš Závodský. The audience was convinced that Maurice Odonnell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcelo Gagriel was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. ŠK Horelica's Matúš Závodský was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 33rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Varennes's Maurice Odonnell got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Matúš Závodský to make the kick off. When Maurice Odonnell came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Varennes fans jumped to their feet. In the 54th minute, Daniel Dominguez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ondrej Poliovka was slow to take the kick. During this time ŠK Horelica's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to ŠK Horelica's Dorel Istrate getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Varennes's Hong Mosher was substituted for Ward Houde. In the 63rd minute, Maurice Odonnell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Varennes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Gilberto Boone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matúš Závodský in the 66th minute of play. Marcelo Gagriel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurice Odonnell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute Titus Pineda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Gagriel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Marcelo Gagriel managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Varennes's Maurice Odonnell fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Varennes's Gilberto Boone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ibai Koldobika in the 83rd minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Varennes's Erwin Gay sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcelo Gagriel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Maurice Odonnell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Seth Luke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcelo Gagriel made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Maurice Odonnell sent off a good shot on target. Matúš Závodský recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Varennes were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing ŠK Horelica to leave the ground with a draw.
