In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Olympique Salonais's goalkeeper Raymond Foubert, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 8 minutes into the match, Olympique Salonais's goal looked a bit too open when Raigo Vananurm came free, but Raymond Foubert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Fausto Mendonça got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-1. 9 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Noël Maunoury in the 15th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Scarlet Speedster's Edward Krzynowek. Raymond Foubert stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fausto Mendonça's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Ryszard Janiczek kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Scarlet Speedster were furious when Dom Lugano was red carded, 21 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 20th minute, one of Scarlet Speedster:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Scarlet Speedster. With a little luck, Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença got control of the ball when Zheng Liang Song tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fausto Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raymond Foubert having to interfere. Olympique Salonais's Raymond Foubert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Mendonça in the 30th minute of play. With a little luck, Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença got control of the ball when Hector Etxepare tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edward Krzynowek hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Raigo Vananurm struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Raymond Foubert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Scarlet Speedster. A collision led to Olympique Salonais getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Marc Chiquet hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The wind increased when Fausto Mendonça made the kick off in the second half. Scarlet Speedster's Fausto Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Naldo Proença took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Song Peng Xi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Naldo Proença showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tang Xi Zhen, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Naldo Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Etxepare in the 75th minute of play. In the 87th minute Song Peng Xi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naldo Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Scarlet Speedster's Váldson Bittencourt got a free kick in the 91st minute. Olympique Salonais made a substitution. Eduardo Cossa replaced Zheng Liang Song. After a rather tough play, Scarlet Speedster's Samuel Quirino got a free kick in the 94th minute. Naldo Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hilario Chale in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Scarlet Speedster left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Olympique Salonais.
