After taking down the ball on VIP's corner Ilie Buhuș fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tanek Zurawski quite easily take care of the ball. 28 minutes into the match, VIP's goal looked a bit too open when Léon Sureau came free, but Dumitru Berca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute Raphaël Lallemand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dumitru Berca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dobri Karapetrov to make the kick off. Ilie Buhuș kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match.
