The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Alfredão da Costa hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Bruno Alberico took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Moisés Donatello. Clube Atlético Mineiro's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernani Mesquita got free with János Földvári in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dávid Baroch in the 64th minute of play forced Clube Atlético Mineiro's goalkeeper Moisés Donatello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
