After 5 played minutes SLB TELHA got a freekick which was hit by Hildeberto Cortez. Lisandro Festas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kasper Bodin in the 6th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Per Rolandsson in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lisandro Festas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hildeberto Cortez kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Ivo Campelo struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Victoriano Abel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SLB TELHA. In the 15th minute Per Rolandsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lisandro Festas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Average Joes's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Ribas came free, but Victoriano Abel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute of the match SLB TELHA got a corner. Average Joes's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hugo Tomé ran over to the corner to take the kick. Victoriano Abel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivo Campelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute of the match, Pål Askestät tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lisandro Festas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 27th minute, Noel Marinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victoriano Abel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 36 played minutes SLB TELHA got a freekick which was hit by Luís Ribas. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by SLB TELHA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kasper Bodin was slow to take the kick. During this time Average Joes's players had a chance to rest. Jose Cachero thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Lisandro Festas, a very annoying self made goal in the 39th minute which led to 1-1. Ivo Campelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Victoriano Abel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victoriano Abel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Marinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Per Rolandsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ivo Campelo kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ivo Campelo made a kick off. When SLB TELHA's Ivo Campelo in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Average Joes's goalie prevented a goal. Noel Marinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Victoriano Abel having to make a save. Lisandro Festas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pål Askestät's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Lisandro Festas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per Rolandsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Pål Askestät notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of SLB TELHA's Lisandro Festas. Lisandro Festas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Victoriano Abel made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Ivo Campelo sent off a good shot on target. After 65 minutes Average Joes's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hugo Tomé who took care of the corner kick. Ivo Campelo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Victoriano Abel made a huge save. Victoriano Abel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivo Campelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd match minute, SLB TELHA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Ribas to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per Rolandsson in the 74th minute of play forced SLB TELHA's goalkeeper Lisandro Festas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lisandro Festas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pål Askestät, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Noel Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 88th match minute, SLB TELHA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noel Marinho to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Average Joes's Jo Blanchaert got a free kick in the 90th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Ivo Campelo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victoriano Abel. Average Joes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivo Campelo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After 95 played minutes Average Joes got a freekick which was hit by Jo Blanchaert. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Average Joes players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
