After a rather tough play, FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's Celedonio Abajas got a free kick in the 2nd minute. 10 minutes into the match, Lv Hai Chong had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Celso Hartz. FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lv Hai Chong was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 13th minute, Celedonio Abajas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lv Hai Chong in the 14th minute of play forced FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's goalkeeper Celso Hartz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tomás Madaleno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christos Perivolakis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celedonio Abajas in the 20th minute. MICE F.C.'s Christos Perivolakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save MICE F.C. from getting a goal against them. Celso Hartz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lv Hai Chong, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lv Hai Chong in the 30th minute of play forced FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's goalkeeper Celso Hartz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lv Hai Chong kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Christos Perivolakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Madaleno in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by MICE F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mauricio Gonzo was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's players had a chance to rest. Mauricio Gonzo made a great header on FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's corner, it was just that MICE F.C.'s Christos Perivolakis managed to reach the ball for a save. Celso Hartz came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by MICE F.C.'s Menios Tsirkos. But to his dismay, Menios Tsirkos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 41 minutes into the match, MICE F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Celedonio Abajas came free, but Christos Perivolakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mauricio Gonzo in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute, Ricardo Galeno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dimitris Skondras made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dimitris Skondras got free with Celso Hartz in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of MICE F.C. booed when FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celedonio Abajas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celso Hartz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dimitris Skondras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Paulo Hermes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Christos Perivolakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christos Perivolakis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Paulo Hermes's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Christos Perivolakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celedonio Abajas, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Menios Tsirkos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Celso Hartz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celso Hartz made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Dimitris Skondras sent off a good shot on target. Zinédine Papoutsiadis kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. If Menios Tsirkos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Celso Hartz managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when MICE F.C.'s Dimitris Skondras fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lv Hai Chong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Panos Kavaliaratos was slow to take the kick. During this time MICE F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. 88 minutes into the match, FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's goal looked a bit too open when Lv Hai Chong came free, but Celso Hartz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Zé Paulo Hermes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Christos Perivolakis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. MICE F.C.'s Iraklis Mortensøn was substituted for Isaltino Borges. 95 minutes into the match, Tomás Madaleno notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of MICE F.C.'s Christos Perivolakis. Christos Perivolakis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
