ÇORUM SPOR KULÜBÜ's supporters rose to their feet, but Dong Cheng Si was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celso Hartz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kasım Okanalp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celedonio Abajas in the 9th minute of play. Zé Paulo Hermes took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kasım Okanalp. Kasım Okanalp dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of ÇORUM SPOR KULÜBÜ booed when FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celedonio Abajas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celedonio Abajas kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Dong Cheng Si fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Hartz having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Paulo Hermes in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kasım Okanalp saved ÇORUM SPOR KULÜBÜ from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's zone, Dong Cheng Si stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celso Hartz came out of the goal and Dong Cheng Si tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41st minute, Dong Cheng Si made a precise shot to the right of Celso Hartz. FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Bill Nietlispach took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Celso Hartz. Celso Hartz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

In the 58th minute of the match, Ricardo Galeno got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kasım Okanalp was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celedonio Abajas got free with Kasım Okanalp in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Celso Hartz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dong Cheng Si's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Celso Hartz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dong Cheng Si in the 83rd minute of play. Dong Cheng Si scored 4-1 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Celso Hartz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Dong Cheng Si had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nuri Çırakoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Yucatan Chichén Itzá players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ÇORUM SPOR KULÜBÜ.
