The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes into the game, Gzpn Timisoara's Sabin Tatomir nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Filomeno Santana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a little luck, Gzpn Timisoara's Augustin Bălăiță got control of the ball when Jacinto Ponte tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bernardino Fraco lost his temper 17 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The Gzpn Timisoara fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Gzpn Timisoara's Sabin Tatomir looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 23 played minutes Gzpn Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Dan Scutaru. Jacinto Ponte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Augustin Bălăiță made a huge save. Jacinto Ponte in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Augustin Bălăiță, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 33rd minute of the game Petre Burdea made a throw-in which Mavrudi Chapalov played forward. Jacinto Ponte's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Augustin Bălăiță firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 39th minute Adrian Trişcu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filomeno Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Artur Caldas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Gzpn Timisoara's zone, Raul Sales stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augustin Bălăiță came out of the goal and Raul Sales tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th minute of the match, Jacinto Ponte got a very nice opportunity to score, but Augustin Bălăiță was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Augustin Bălăiță was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Noel Regueira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Noel Regueira really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sabin Tatomir was the one to do the kick off. When AD FAFE's Noel Regueira in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gzpn Timisoara's goalie prevented a goal. Augustin Bălăiță stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Noel Regueira's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute, Artur Caldas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes into the match, Gzpn Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Ponte came free, but Augustin Bălăiță reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augustin Bălăiță showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Ponte, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Augustin Bălăiță took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Regueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AD FAFE's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jacinto Ponte in the 62nd minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Gzpn Timisoara's goalie and right to Cecilio Avilés. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Gzpn Timisoara's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 66 minutes into the game, Adrian Trişcu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Filomeno Santana. Adrian Trişcu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. In the 69th match minute, AD FAFE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noel Regueira to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sabin Tatomir in the 69th minute of play forced AD FAFE's goalkeeper Filomeno Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juliano Azenha in the 74th minute of play forced Gzpn Timisoara's goalkeeper Augustin Bălăiță to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Oodo Täll in the 78th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by AD FAFE's Noel Regueira. AD FAFE's Filomeno Santana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save AD FAFE from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Gzpn Timisoara's Petre Burdea got a free kick in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sabin Tatomir in the 86th minute of play forced AD FAFE's goalkeeper Filomeno Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adrian Trişcu got free with Filomeno Santana in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jacinto Ponte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Augustin Bălăiță showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noel Regueira in the 95th minute of the match. The AD FAFE supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Gzpn Timisoara's performance. The match ended with a win for Gzpn Timisoara.
