Ask Stamnes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With his leg Carter Gargano managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Boulogne F.C.'s Mauricio Tano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damaso Udalaitz in the 22nd minute of play forced Boulogne F.C.'s goalkeeper Ask Stamnes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donato Trentini in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carter Gargano saved Doping Positivo from getting behind. Mauricio Tano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carter Gargano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Mauricio Tano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Carter Gargano when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mauricio Tano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mauricio Tano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Carter Gargano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute Damaso Udalaitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ask Stamnes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Mauricio Tano sped through Doping Positivo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carter Gargano. After 70 played minutes Doping Positivo got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Telmo. Isaias Baldovino hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 75thth minute of the game Mauricio Tano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Doping Positivo's Carter Gargano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Doping Positivo getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Justo Rios hit a great ball. Doping Positivo's Roque Laurin was substituted for Damaso Udalaitz. After a rather tough play, Boulogne F.C.'s Gogo Nicholas got a free kick in the 86th minute. After some careless play in the Doping Positivo defense, Marcelo Martins kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carter Gargano. The Doping Positivo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carter Gargano should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Boulogne F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Doping Positivo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
