Ercole Carnevale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miltos Makris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 32 minutes of play, Santoryu FC's Teodoro Chale made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Menios Chloros was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Nedim Emekli got free with Ercole Carnevale in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 40 played minutes Mean Machine got a freekick which was hit by Agnaldo Braga. In the 45th minute Cesare Romano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Menios Chloros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elia Strano's late challenge caught a Mean Machine's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elia Strano helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Santoryu FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Elia Strano hit a great ball. 47 minutes into the match, Santoryu FC's goalkeeper Ercole Carnevale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carles Pujol. In the 47thth minute of the game Carles Pujol who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santoryu FC's Ercole Carnevale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Santoryu FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodoro Chale to make the kick off. Grzegorz Grzelak in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Menios Chloros, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nedim Emekli in the 66th minute of play forced Santoryu FC's goalkeeper Ercole Carnevale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Santoryu FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Santoryu FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
