Spectators: 153 (Terracing: 115, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Iurie Avacariței started the match with the kick off. In the 4th match minute, FC Oltul Slatina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Șerban Tilincă to maneuver through the defense. 5 minutes into the match, Yu Guang Chen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manuel Lovinescu. FC Oltul Slatina's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yu Guang Chen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. FC Oltul Slatina's Manuel Lovinescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yu Guang Chen in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yu Guang Chen in the 14th minute of play forced FC Oltul Slatina's goalkeeper Manuel Lovinescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th match minute, FC Oltul Slatina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilie Leahu to maneuver through the defense. Ben-Ami Gol kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Ben-Ami Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Lovinescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Barreal FC's Dário Tepedino got control of the ball when Gelu Coman tried to sneak it across the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, FC Oltul Slatina's goal looked a bit too open when Ben-Ami Gol came free, but Manuel Lovinescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iurie Avacariței who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Dário Tepedino when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Adelino Corrêa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manuel Lovinescu having to make a save. Dário Tepedino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaudencio Ubarna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Ben-Ami Gol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Lovinescu having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Șerban Tilincă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in FC Oltul Slatina's zone, Yu Guang Chen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Lovinescu came out of the goal and Yu Guang Chen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gelu Coman's late challenge caught a Barreal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gelu Coman helped the player get up and apologised. FC Oltul Slatina's Manuel Lovinescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save FC Oltul Slatina from getting a goal against them. Barreal FC were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after FC Oltul Slatina's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jairo Eneko took the corner. Joakim Giliusson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Lovinescu having to interfere. Manuel Lovinescu made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Yu Guang Chen sent off a good shot on target. Dário Tepedino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iurie Avacariței in the 73rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ben-Ami Gol in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Lovinescu saved FC Oltul Slatina from getting behind. In the 81st minute Iurie Avacariței shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dário Tepedino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gaudencio Ubarna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. FC Oltul Slatina's Nichifor Bornescu was substituted for Gelu Coman. In the 88thth minute of the game Ben-Ami Gol who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Oltul Slatina's Manuel Lovinescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Iurie Avacariței notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Barreal FC's Dário Tepedino. Dário Tepedino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
