An unexpectedly hard shot by Gara Keng in the 9th minute of play forced Independente FC's goalkeeper Nando Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nando Sena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jithu Rajah in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute Mark Chian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nando Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30 minutes, Nilson Duarte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Independente FC and the NFH Family United players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of NFH Family United booed when Independente FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilson Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Gara Keng had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nando Sena. Independente FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gara Keng was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Alexander Sum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raí Prestes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute Gara Keng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nando Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Zack Tuan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hudson Toscano charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hudson Toscano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hudson Toscano hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Joaquim Eanes kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Nando Sena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wong Sophie in the 45th minute. During the 45th minute of the match Hudson Toscano completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Hudson Toscano a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Hudson Toscano hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute of the match Wong Sophie sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nando Sena skillfully saved the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Nando Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mark Chian in the 54th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Shah Lam made a precise shot to the right of Nando Sena. Independente FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Marquez in the 63rd minute of play forced NFH Family United's goalkeeper Alexander Sum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ang Chew in the 69th minute of play forced Independente FC's goalkeeper Nando Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mark Chian in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nando Sena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nando Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mark Chian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Independente FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nando Sena should have stopped the shot. Independente FC's Nando Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mark Chian in the 95th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the NFH Family United players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
