Xorxe Viguera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ludwig Hägg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Ludwig Hägg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Xorxe Viguera was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FORTALEZA's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 38thth minute of the game Ludwig Hägg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FORTALEZA's Xorxe Viguera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FORTALEZA's Xorxe Viguera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ludwig Hägg in the 44th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Hamdullah Özerdal made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind FORTALEZA's goalkeeper Xorxe Viguera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Xorxe Viguera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ludwig Hägg went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the last second Lennart Juhlin throw himself and got hold of the ball when Hamdullah Özerdal in the 60thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. FORTALEZA's Egor Zabarenko was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lennart Juhlin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Hamilton Barcelos fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saint Glenn Gothenburg's protests and gave Hamilton Barcelos a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FORTALEZA booed when Saint Glenn Gothenburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamilton Barcelos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Demesio Faxardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Xorxe Viguera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Saint Glenn Gothenburg's Ludwig Hägg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xorxe Viguera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 89 minutes into the game, Demesio Faxardo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
