But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cooper Schurter couldn't finish the play. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bayern Boliviano's goalkeeper Antonio Giorgio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ramon Iztal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ramon Iztal in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Quexada prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eusko Zubicoeta hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Marcelo Quexada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cooper Schurter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cooper Schurter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to EBK getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Cornelio Omero hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the game, Ramon Iztal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Marcelo Quexada was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Orkatz Abeitia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Venceslao Abarca during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Antonio Giorgio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Colon in the 44th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Ramon Iztal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bayern Boliviano's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramon Iztal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Quexada breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ramon Iztal was the one to do the kick off. Marcelo Quexada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramon Iztal in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 54th minute Ramon Iztal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Quexada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelo Quexada was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ramon Iztal in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelo Quexada saved EBK from getting behind. After 63 minutes, Ramon Iztal made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. EBK's Marcelo Quexada tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ramon Iztal in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelo Quexada saved EBK from getting behind. Antonio Giorgio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Venceslao Abarca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelo Quexada read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Bayern Boliviano's Ostots Abechuco got a free kick in the 87th minute. 93 minutes in the game, Ramon Iztal fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Marcelo Quexada having to interfere. The referee gave EBK a penalty, 96 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cornelio Omero, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bayern Boliviano's Antonio Giorgio. 2-4. The EBK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Bayern Boliviano's performance. The match ended with a win for Bayern Boliviano.
