Andres Quinteros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Petr Školník took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nemesio Rubio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diego Milito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andres Quinteros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Petr Školník didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 26th minute, which inside left pole to 1-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego Milito in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andres Quinteros saved Pildorita Timba Club from getting behind. Yrigoyen.F.C were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Pildorita Timba Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aurelio Feliz took the corner. Aurelio Feliz made a great header on Yrigoyen.F.C's corner, it was just that Pildorita Timba Club's Andres Quinteros managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Milito in the 33rd minute of play forced Pildorita Timba Club's goalkeeper Andres Quinteros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diego Milito took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andres Quinteros. Andres Quinteros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. If Diego Milito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute Herman Kleen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petr Školník saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andres Quinteros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Milito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pildorita Timba Club's Andres Quinteros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Milito in the 45th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Pildorita Timba Club's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Milito came free, but Andres Quinteros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Andres Quinteros was a little too slow when Diego Milito got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 1-6. Pildorita Timba Club made a substitution. Gustavo Iratzeder replaced Cayetano Savion. After 73 played minutes Pildorita Timba Club got a freekick which was hit by Julen Van Landschoot. In the 74th match minute, Pildorita Timba Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julen Van Landschoot to maneuver through the defense. Petr Školník made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nemesio Rubio in the 76th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Yrigoyen.F.C's Matías Suárez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andres Quinteros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 81 minutes into the game, Nestor Checa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yrigoyen.F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pildorita Timba Club the free kick. After 81 played minutes Yrigoyen.F.C got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Checa. Yrigoyen.F.C's Inocencio Buinton was substituted for Atilano Sotil. In the 81st match minute, Yrigoyen.F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Checa to maneuver through the defense.
