Luciano Inverso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Léo Leão having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Grabiel Escorcia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Léo Leão was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Misericordia EC's Léo Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grabiel Escorcia in the 37th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Grabiel Escorcia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Léo Leão was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeremias Tinoco was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Grabiel Escorcia dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Léo Leão, 0-3. Grabiel Escorcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Léo Leão having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Grabiel Escorcia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th minute Grabiel Escorcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Léo Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Luís Amaral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juaneizu Merida read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Nacional's Grabiel Escorcia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Léo Leão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joseph Gayoso got free with Léo Leão in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 78th minute Nacional were awarded a corner. Marta Minuhin went to the cornerflag to take it. Sérgio Muralhas made in the 82nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Faustão Terra immediately put the ball in play. Juaneizu Merida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Tinoco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Tinoco in the 87th minute of play forced Nacional's goalkeeper Juaneizu Merida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Misericordia EC's Sérgio Muralhas got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the last second Léo Leão throw himself and got hold of the ball when Grabiel Escorcia in the 89thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 91st minute Nacional were awarded a corner. Marta Minuhin went to the cornerflag to take it. Chants of Nacional echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Misericordia EC had held the ball for most of the match.
