After 18 minutes of play, BFC 1982's Nicasio Quinto made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Per-Erik Hjortberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Shekhar Biwott fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesario Roma having to interfere. Sammy Keino's late challenge caught a BFC 1982's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sammy Keino helped the player get up and apologised. Rothwell Park's Per-Erik Hjortberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Rothwell Park from getting a goal against them. BFC 1982's attentive Antonio Patrido managed to snatch the ball when Sammy Keino made a throw-in in the 31st minute of the game. Nicasio Quinto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Per-Erik Hjortberg made a huge save. In the 38th minute Adolfo Salvino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesario Roma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolfo Salvino in the 41st minute of play forced BFC 1982's goalkeeper Cesario Roma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. BFC 1982's Cesario Roma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Salvino in the 81st minute of play. Ermegildo Ekialde's late challenge caught a Rothwell Park's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
