In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Melbourne 007's goalkeeper Thomas Diehl, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 14th minute Moneyball were awarded a corner. Cheng Wei Yan went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Moneyball's Roland Rakowicz getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Agustín Álvarez struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Thomas Diehl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moneyball. Dalmo Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudy Gummow in the 21st minute of play. Agustín Álvarez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Thomas Diehl made a huge save. Thomas Diehl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Álvarez in the 28th minute of the match. Moneyball were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Melbourne 007's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cheng Wei Yan took the corner. After taking down the ball on Moneyball's corner Cheng Wei Yan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Thomas Diehl quite easily take care of the ball. 32 minutes into the match, 秦梁翀 notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Moneyball's Dalmo Tasso. Dalmo Tasso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Moneyball's Agustín Álvarez got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thomas Diehl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Álvarez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Melbourne 007's Thomas Diehl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Álvarez in the 44th minute of play. After 45 minutes Melbourne 007's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cheng Wei Yan who took care of the corner kick. In the 45th minute, Roland Rakowicz fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rudy Gummow stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Melbourne 007's Thomas Diehl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Álvarez in the 58th minute of play. Moneyball made a substitution. Stanislav Mikolášek replaced Mümtaz Yetiş. Moneyball's Oliver Bergman was substituted for Roland Rakowicz. Moneyball were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after Melbourne 007's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cheng Wei Yan took the corner. Moneyball's Cheng Wei Yan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Thomas Diehl in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thomas Diehl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Álvarez, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Melbourne 007's goalkeeper Thomas Diehl, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 69th minute Moneyball were awarded a corner. Cheng Wei Yan went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Moneyball's corner Cheng Wei Yan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Thomas Diehl quite easily take care of the ball. Brook Yard charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brook Yard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 79th minute, Brook Yard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cheng Wei Yan struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Agustín Álvarez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thomas Diehl read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Thomas Diehl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Álvarez, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 91st minute, Agustín Álvarez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thomas Diehl was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agustín Álvarez in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thomas Diehl prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 98 minutes Melbourne 007's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cheng Wei Yan who took care of the corner kick. When the referee ended the match the Moneyball players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
