With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herminio Arnas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edgar Poe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Everardo Berasko, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Herminio Arnas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Kindermans in the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Olaf Latocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ANTIBOSTEROS FUTBOL CLUB's Herminio Arnas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sverker Blixt in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute of the match, Everardo Berasko tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edgar Poe saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Florencio Cordarryl could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Edgar Poe made a huge save. Herminio Arnas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Kunze, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Everardo Berasko during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Royal Excel Mouscron booed when ANTIBOSTEROS FUTBOL CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florencio Cordarryl took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgar Poe. Edgar Poe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Royal Excel Mouscron were furious when Elvison Presley was red carded, 45 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. ANTIBOSTEROS FUTBOL CLUB made a substitution. Anacleto Sobera replaced Flavius Pârâianu.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Kunze to make the kick off.
