Andoni Zubizarreta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clodoveo Cayo in the 8th minute of the match. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by GARGOYLES's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luciano Federigo was slow to take the kick. During this time ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄'s players had a chance to rest. 12 minutes into the match, ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄'s goalkeeper Jose Nuñez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Slavyan Mechkuev. Slavyan Mechkuev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Jose Nuñez made a huge save. GARGOYLES's Andoni Zubizarreta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomiro Laurgain in the 15th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valko Nanyov got free with Jose Nuñez in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 23 minutes into the match, GARGOYLES's goal looked a bit too open when Clodoveo Cayo came free, but Andoni Zubizarreta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄'s Jose Nuñez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄ from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as GARGOYLES's Slavyan Mechkuev slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jose Nuñez. That made the score 1-0 after 29 minutes of play. GARGOYLES's Andoni Zubizarreta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomiro Laurgain in the 31st minute of play. Slavyan Mechkuev might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jose Nuñez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Slavyan Mechkuev ran back to his position shaking his head. After 39 minutes of play, ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄'s Baldomiro Laurgain made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andoni Zubizarreta was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 44 played minutes GARGOYLES got a freekick which was hit by 李永乐 Appleton. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomiro Laurgain in the 47th minute of play forced GARGOYLES's goalkeeper Andoni Zubizarreta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Clodoveo Cayo made a kick off. If Valko Nanyov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jose Nuñez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Slavyan Mechkuev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andoni Zubizarreta made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Clodoveo Cayo sent off a good shot on target. Baldomiro Laurgain could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Andoni Zubizarreta made a huge save. In the 61st minute Valko Nanyov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Nuñez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luciano Federigo took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Luciano Federigo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Andoni Zubizarreta quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 85th minute Valko Nanyov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Nuñez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Slavyan Mechkuev's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jose Nuñez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. After a rather tough play, GARGOYLES's Valko Nanyov got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 88th match minute, GARGOYLES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valko Nanyov to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clodoveo Cayo in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andoni Zubizarreta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The GARGOYLES manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄ to win.
