When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

A throw-in in the 55th minute of the game was made by Alejandro Castelao with Luciano Federigo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Jose Nuñez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sergi Naranjo in the 57th minute. In the 59th match minute, Orange was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvise Romagnoli to maneuver through the defense. Óscar Cordobé stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Clodoveo Cayo's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Clodoveo Cayo came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clodoveo Cayo couldn't finish the play. Óscar Cordobé made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomiro Laurgain in the 72nd minute of play.
