The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Mogel Izcaray put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Maximiliano Astudillo. Juan Musso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Manuel Cordera showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 7 minute of play. Maximiliano Astudillo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mogel Izcaray went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. If Mogel Izcaray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ezequiel Maldonado struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Maximiliano Astudillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rosario Central FC. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind SAN MARTIN F.C.'s goalkeeper Maximiliano Astudillo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, SAN MARTIN F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Mogel Izcaray came free, but Maximiliano Astudillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mogel Izcaray recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th match minute, SAN MARTIN F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejandro Mendebal to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th match minute, SAN MARTIN F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauro Ordono to maneuver through the defense. Gervasio Bieito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Astudillo having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Mogel Izcaray made a precise shot to the right of Maximiliano Astudillo. SAN MARTIN F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. In the 38th minute Gervasio Bieito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximiliano Astudillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximiliano Astudillo came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Rosario Central FC's Mogel Izcaray. But to his dismay, Mogel Izcaray quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. If Mogel Izcaray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 1-6 when Mogel Izcaray sped through SAN MARTIN F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Maximiliano Astudillo.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mogel Izcaray was the one to do the kick off. Mogel Izcaray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Astudillo having to interfere. SAN MARTIN F.C.'s Maximiliano Astudillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save SAN MARTIN F.C. from getting a goal against them. Gervasio Bieito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Astudillo having to interfere. A collision led to SAN MARTIN F.C. getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Bernardino Ospin hit a great ball. Mogel Izcaray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Maximiliano Astudillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maximiliano Astudillo came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Rosario Central FC's Gervasio Bieito. But to his dismay, Gervasio Bieito quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-8. Mogel Izcaray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mogel Izcaray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Astudillo having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Gervasio Bieito left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rosario Central FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-11. Rosario Central FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
