Mogel Izcaray started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Rosario Central FC booed when SAN MARTIN F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Ordono didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mogel Izcaray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Astudillo having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 10th minute by Gervasio Bieito got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Mogel Izcaray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gervasio Bieito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to SAN MARTIN F.C. getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Bernardino Ospin hit a great ball. Mauro Ordono got a throw-in 19 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Abelardo Roland. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mogel Izcaray in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maximiliano Astudillo saved SAN MARTIN F.C. from getting behind. SAN MARTIN F.C.'s Maximiliano Astudillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save SAN MARTIN F.C. from getting a goal against them. Maximiliano Astudillo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mogel Izcaray's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. After 26 minutes, Zacarias Balon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rosario Central FC and the SAN MARTIN F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Maximiliano Astudillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mogel Izcaray in the 33rd minute of the match. Mauro Ordono made in the 36th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Bernardino Ospin however managed to control. Maximiliano Astudillo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gervasio Bieito in the 41st minute. Mogel Izcaray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Astudillo having to interfere. Rosario Central FC's Orçun Yersel managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Mauro Ordono in the 47 minute of the game. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abelardo Roland stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Vinicio Gartzea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Gervasio Bieito came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Rosario Central FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gervasio Bieito couldn't finish the play. 57 minutes into the game, Rosario Central FC's Mogel Izcaray nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maximiliano Astudillo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Mogel Izcaray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Maximiliano Astudillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gervasio Bieito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Astudillo having to interfere. Gervasio Bieito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Maximiliano Astudillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gervasio Bieito in the 69th minute of the match. Rosario Central FC were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after SAN MARTIN F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mogel Izcaray took the corner. Rosario Central FC's Gervasio Bieito was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Maximiliano Astudillo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 71 minutes into the game, Gervasio Bieito cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Maximiliano Astudillo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Rosario Central FC fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Rosario Central FC's Mogel Izcaray looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Mogel Izcaray struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Maximiliano Astudillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rosario Central FC. Maximiliano Astudillo came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Rosario Central FC's Mogel Izcaray. But to his dismay, Mogel Izcaray quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. When Gervasio Bieito came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Rosario Central FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gervasio Bieito couldn't finish the play. Mogel Izcaray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Astudillo having to interfere. After some careless play in the SAN MARTIN F.C. defense, Gervasio Bieito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximiliano Astudillo. The SAN MARTIN F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximiliano Astudillo should have stopped the shot. Rosario Central FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
