FC Melon's Ján Tuleja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ted Holmgren in the 7th minute of play. Sundborn IF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sven-Olof Stephansson in the 8th minute. When Steven Verhaeghen fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sundborn IF's protests and gave Steven Verhaeghen a yellow card for diving instead. If Alf Hansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kalle Askberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lukáš Hučka in the 18th minute. After a rather tough play, FC Melon's Martin Kudlak got a free kick in the 20th minute. Kalle Askberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matej Adamec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th match minute, Sundborn IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Börje Ekström to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matej Adamec got free with Kalle Askberg in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ján Tuleja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ted Holmgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Melon's goalkeeper Ján Tuleja, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 47th minute Alf Hansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ján Tuleja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alf Hansson made a kick off. Ted Holmgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Ján Tuleja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 54 minutes into the match, FC Melon's goal looked a bit too open when Erland Kvist came free, but Ján Tuleja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alf Hansson got free with Ján Tuleja in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 58th minute Erland Kvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ján Tuleja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sundborn IF's Erland Kvist in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Melon's goalie prevented a goal. Ján Tuleja made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erland Kvist in the 59th minute. Alf Hansson succeeded in the game's 60th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-3. 64 minutes into the match, FC Melon's goalkeeper Ján Tuleja had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ted Holmgren. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sundborn IF's goalkeeper Kalle Askberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lukáš Hučka scored 2-3 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kalle Askberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sundborn IF's Kaloyan Mitashev was substituted for Alf Hansson. After a rather tough play, FC Melon's Tomáš Semenník got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After 74 played minutes FC Melon got a freekick which was hit by Tomáš Semenník. After a defensive mix-up in FC Melon's zone, Erland Kvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ján Tuleja came out of the goal and Erland Kvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matej Adamec in the 77th minute of play forced Sundborn IF's goalkeeper Kalle Askberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ján Tuleja was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Bernardo Pitta capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bernardo Pitta really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. In the 84th minute, Kaloyan Mitashev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 89 minutes into the match, FC Melon's goal looked a bit too open when Ted Holmgren came free, but Ján Tuleja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erland Kvist had several of the FC Melon's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 96 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-5 score and a disappointed Ján Tuleja as he didn't even see the shot coming. The FC Melon fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sundborn IF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
