Emmanuel Canturri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stan Wawrinka in the 23rd minute of the match. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Espen Steelers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Codruț Uncheşu was slow to take the kick. During this time The Valar's players had a chance to rest. Alain Berset sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Emmanuel Canturri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alain Berset in the 40th minute of play. Espen Steelers's Federico Abud quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Constantin Hrebenciuc, made in the 42nd minute of the game. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Valar's goalkeeper Emmanuel Canturri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emmanuel Canturri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alain Berset, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for William Rigg to strike the kick off in the second half. Gregor Kobel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Rigg, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. The Valar's Constantin Hrebenciuc managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Torben Krabber in the 53 minute of the game. But to his dismay, William Rigg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Gregor Kobel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of William Rigg's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. In the 58thth minute of the game William Rigg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Espen Steelers's Gregor Kobel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gregor Kobel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Rigg, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Alain Berset could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Emmanuel Canturri made a huge save. After 66 played minutes The Valar got a freekick which was hit by Constantin Hrebenciuc. Constantin Hrebenciuc kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Stan Wawrinka's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emmanuel Canturri was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Emmanuel Canturri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogelio Montez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gregor Kobel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Rigg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Espen Steelers's Federico Abud got a free kick in the 84th minute. 87 minutes into the match, The Valar's William Rigg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gregor Kobel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Espen Steelers players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for The Valar.
