The audience was convinced that Guillermo Mitxaut's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Norberto Tino was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Leonides Leheren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from M. Agus Young went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Eustacio Romero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Norberto Tino made a huge save. Chorroarín's Leonides Leheren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by M. Agus Young in the 21st minute of play. Norberto Tino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guillermo Mitxaut, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Leonides Leheren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from M. Agus Young in the 24th minute of play. 28 minutes in the game Kong Chang Zheng did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Kong Chang Zheng. M. Agus Young blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonides Leheren having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Santa Lucia de Merlo's zone, Sixto Aragones stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norberto Tino came out of the goal and Sixto Aragones tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. M. Agus Young blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonides Leheren having to make a save. Leonides Leheren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from M. Agus Young, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After the first half Santa Lucia de Merlo were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guillermo Mitxaut stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guillermo Mitxaut in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Norberto Tino saved Santa Lucia de Merlo from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guillermo Mitxaut in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Norberto Tino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Sixto Aragones managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chorroarín's supporters rose to their feet, but Sixto Aragones was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norberto Tino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 61st match minute, Chorroarín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pastor Giménez to maneuver through the defense. Santa Lucia de Merlo made a substitution. Polo Quinteros replaced M. Agus Young. Chorroarín made a substitution. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chorroarín's goalkeeper Leonides Leheren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Chorroarín's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
