It was beautiful to see HORTALEZA FC's Glauke Mihas in action when he in the 8th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! With a little luck, Vanderslaike FC's Anier Sayvion got control of the ball when Galsino Vilanova tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ediberto Abraão's late challenge caught a HORTALEZA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ediberto Abraão helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of HORTALEZA FC booed when Vanderslaike FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ediberto Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Vanderslaike FC's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Renoux came free, but Anier Sayvion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anier Sayvion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Galsino Vilanova in the 14th minute of the match. Anier Sayvion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roland Renoux, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Erivaldo Pereira hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Vanderslaike FC's Anier Sayvion proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Vanderslaike FC from getting a goal against them. Roland Renouxs short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Anier Sayvion to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Anier Sayvion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roland Renoux in the 29th minute of play. A collision led to Vanderslaike FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. José Lopes hit a great ball. In the 41st minute, Roland Renoux made a precise shot to the right of Anier Sayvion. Vanderslaike FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Roland Renoux sped through Vanderslaike FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anier Sayvion. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Naldo Fonseca made a kick off. In the 54thth minute of the game Zhang Ang Zhen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vanderslaike FC's Anier Sayvion was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roland Renoux in the 58th minute of play forced Vanderslaike FC's goalkeeper Anier Sayvion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anier Sayvion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhang Ang Zhen, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. When Zhang Ang Zhen came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the HORTALEZA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zhang Ang Zhen couldn't finish the play. In the 68th match minute, Vanderslaike FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovanni Vianna to maneuver through the defense. Naldo Fonseca's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Feijo Zárate firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 75th minute of the match Glauke Mihas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anier Sayvion skillfully saved the ball. If Naldo Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 79th minute Naldo Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feijo Zárate saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anier Sayvion didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roland Renoux went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Roland Renoux took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anier Sayvion. Anier Sayvion dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. HORTALEZA FC were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Vanderslaike FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Glauke Mihas took the corner. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roland Renoux in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anier Sayvion saved Vanderslaike FC from getting behind. 93 minutes into the match, Vanderslaike FC's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Renoux came free, but Anier Sayvion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
