Gilmar Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulryk Merski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milton Melgar in the 43rd minute of play forced 2kC Poznań's goalkeeper Tadeusz Rutkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing 2kC Poznań would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
