After 9 minutes of play, The Cavern Club's Alberigo Prosperi made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bran Allison was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Cavern Club's Vladimir Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricki Dresager in the 12th minute of play. Vladimir Prestes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maurinho Trezeguet in the 14th minute. Vladimir Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurinho Trezeguet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Cactos's Maurinho Trezeguet in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Cactos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mario Yepes in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberigo Prosperi in the 27th minute of play forced Cactos's goalkeeper Bran Allison to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Ricki Dresager shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute Cactos were awarded a corner. Mario Yepes went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Cactos's corner Mario Yepes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vladimir Prestes quite easily take care of the ball. After taking down the ball on The Cavern Club's corner Alberigo Prosperi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bran Allison quite easily take care of the ball. 38 minutes into the match, The Cavern Club's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Bagge came free, but Vladimir Prestes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Ricki Dresager notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of The Cavern Club's Vladimir Prestes. Vladimir Prestes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vladimir Prestes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricki Dresager in the 43rd minute of play. Bran Allison showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberigo Prosperi in the 45th minute of the match. In the 45th match minute, Cactos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Beton to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Vladimir Prestes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricki Dresager in the 51st minute of play. Vladimir Prestes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Coronel Camba in the 52nd minute of the match. Vladimir Prestes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ricki Dresager went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 57th minute Ricki Dresager shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, The Cavern Club's goal looked a bit too open when Coronel Camba came free, but Vladimir Prestes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ricki Dresager had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Cavern Club made a substitution. Luis Vázquez replaced Alberigo Prosperi. Vladimir Prestes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisinho Maciel in the 69th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Luis Vázquez took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Bran Allison to make any attempt to save it. In the 73rd minute Coronel Camba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonatan Valström got a throw-in 75 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Carl Beck. Vladimir Prestes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisinho Maciel in the 77th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Cactos's zone, Luis Vázquez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bran Allison came out of the goal and Luis Vázquez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Coronel Camba in the 81st minute of play forced The Cavern Club's goalkeeper Vladimir Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute Peter Bagge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vladimir Prestes came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Cactos's Coronel Camba. But to his dismay, Coronel Camba quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Cavern Club's goalkeeper Vladimir Prestes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cactos had won after a very even match.
