The corner led Lions United's Leon Eleazar to fire away a dangerous shot which Ye Zheng despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Alan Specht made in the 29th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Camillo Mercuri however managed to control. 36 minutes into the match, Flamenco United's goal looked a bit too open when Pan Jian Yong came free, but Ye Zheng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 played minutes Lions United got a freekick which was hit by Taribo Ndukwe.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bircan Serdar to make the kick off.
