With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ross Buchanan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Xabat Acedo sped through Slower Lower FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ross Buchanan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulises Pagomari in the 22nd minute of play forced Slower Lower FC's goalkeeper Ross Buchanan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sepp Meier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Derick Murry in the 23rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nereo Florinio got free with Sepp Meier in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benjamin Kielberg was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Slower Lower FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Christoffer Sundström hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute Xabat Acedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ross Buchanan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jörn Emmel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Sepp Meier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
