In the 7th match minute, Galo do Japi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cauan Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Cafu Ringaa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galo do Japi's supporters rose to their feet, but Cafu Ringaa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Everardo Ado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ahmet Demir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Everardo Ado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Renato Saraiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronaldo Giovanelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Ignacio Vera in the 15th minute of the match. Galo do Japi's Cléberson Lara got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Carlos Santana reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Everardo Ado. The goal made the score 1-1. After 25 minutes of play, Algarrobo's Juan Ignacio Vera made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ronaldo Giovanelli was left in no man's land by his defense there! Galo do Japi's Cauan Catarinense quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Rafael Nadal, made in the 27th minute of the game. When Galo do Japi's Paulo Renato Saraiva in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Algarrobo's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Armando Lamb in the 45th minute of play forced Galo do Japi's goalkeeper Ronaldo Giovanelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Galo do Japi's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Ignacio Vera came free, but Ronaldo Giovanelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Galo do Japi players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Algarrobo were winning 1-2.

Juan Ignacio Vera received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ronaldo Giovanelli came out and tried to block the shot, but Juan Ignacio Vera slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 53rd minute. Everardo Ado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Renato Saraiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Cléberson Lara struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Everardo Ado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galo do Japi. Algarrobo's Jimeno Carrera was substituted for Rafael Nadal. Galo do Japi made a substitution. Sokratis Krak replaced Carlos Santana. 72 minutes into the match, Diego Armando Lamb notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Galo do Japi's Ronaldo Giovanelli. Ronaldo Giovanelli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jimeno Carrera spun around in front of the goal 80 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Galo do Japi's goal. Everardo Ado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Renato Saraiva in the 86th minute of the match. Pedro Tomás Talamilla hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sokratis Krak in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Everardo Ado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Algarrobo defense, Cléberson Lara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Everardo Ado. The Algarrobo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Everardo Ado should have stopped the shot. The Algarrobo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Algarrobo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
