In the 3rd minute of the match, Rickard Erserman got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tiaguinho Correia was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 9 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's Rickard Erserman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiaguinho Correia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th minute Róbson Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Björnberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trindade Atlético Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Rickard Erserman scored to the left of an out of position Tiaguinho Correia, making the score, 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Rickard Erserman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tiaguinho Correia. That made the score 2-0 in the 32 minute of play. Inter de Chillán's Vatan Enfal was substituted for Rickard Erserman. Inter de Chillán's Alfonso Sotta got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dragoş Vâtcu in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anton Björnberg saved Inter de Chillán from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Tiaguinho Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vatan Enfal, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After having played for 64 minutes, Florencio Jax managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter de Chillán's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florencio Jax was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aaron Cortez got free with Anton Björnberg in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Florencio Jax's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tiaguinho Correia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Inter de Chillán's Anton Björnberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Inter de Chillán from getting a goal against them. Anton Björnberg made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Aaron Cortez sent off a good shot on target. Tiaguinho Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vatan Enfal in the 81st minute of the match. Vatan Enfal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiaguinho Correia having to interfere. Trindade Atlético Club made a substitution. Ruperto Emenon replaced Fulgencio Rius. Tiaguinho Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vatan Enfal in the 90th minute of the match. In the 97th minute, Dragoş Vâtcu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Anton Björnberg. The goal made the score 3-1.
