Dionisio Iyan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laércio Penha in the 3rd minute of play. Laércio Penha scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dionisio Iyan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the AC Mizeria defense, Laércio Penha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dionisio Iyan. The AC Mizeria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dionisio Iyan should have stopped the shot. Bernt Bjørndalen kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Dionisio Iyan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laércio Penha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Laércio Penha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dionisio Iyan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dionisio Iyan came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Laércio Penha. But to his dismay, Laércio Penha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. If Laércio Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 26thth minute of the game Laércio Penha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AC Mizeria's Dionisio Iyan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Laércio Penha scored 0-4 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dionisio Iyan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 30th minute, Christer Seierstad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the match, Laércio Penha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dionisio Iyan. AC Mizeria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Laércio Penha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Dionisio Iyan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laércio Penha in the 35th minute of play. Laércio Penha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dionisio Iyan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Nova Iguaçu MZFC were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after AC Mizeria's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luiz Fábio de Medeiros took the corner. After taking down the ball on Nova Iguaçu MZFC's corner Heitor Ferreira fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dionisio Iyan quite easily take care of the ball. Dionisio Iyan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Laércio Penha went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score.

Dionisio Iyan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laércio Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. A sloppy throw-in by Karl Fanebust in the 53rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Luiz Fábio de Medeiros. Dionisio Iyan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Laércio Penha showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 53 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Laércio Penha in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dionisio Iyan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 60 minutes into the match, AC Mizeria's goal looked a bit too open when Laércio Penha came free, but Dionisio Iyan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Laércio Penha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nova Iguaçu MZFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. Laércio Penha did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-9 to the left of a surprised Dionisio Iyan 66 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Dionisio Iyan threw himself towards the right post 69 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Laércio Penha, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A throw-in in the 71st minute of the game was made by Henrik Pedersen with Thomas Klemetsen as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. If Laércio Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 75th minute Laércio Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dionisio Iyan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Laércio Penha reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dionisio Iyan. The goal made the score 0-10. Laércio Penha scored 0-11 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dionisio Iyan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 83 minutes into the game, Carolo Cambranes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-12. Dionisio Iyan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Henrik Pedersen got a throw-in 87 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Bernt Bjørndalen. Laércio Penha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in AC Mizeria's zone, Laércio Penha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dionisio Iyan came out of the goal and Laércio Penha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded Nova Iguaçu MZFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than AC Mizeria.
