With a little luck, Seraċini Għawdxin's Rahim Kornes got control of the ball when Ole-Johan Larsen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedrinho de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Negro in the 26th minute of the match. Pedrinho de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Negro in the 39th minute of the match. Otávio Lima charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Otávio Lima the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Alfa FC's Otávio Lima got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 46 minutes into the match, Seraċini Għawdxin's goalkeeper Rahim Kornes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stian Selnes. The Alfa FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Seraċini Għawdxin were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Song Wei Yun to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Alfa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Filip Bejrut came free, but Pedrinho de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernando Negro might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedrinho de Queirós. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 83rd minute of the match, Fernando Negro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pedrinho de Queirós was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 93 played minutes Alfa FC got a freekick which was hit by Otávio Lima. If Fernando Negro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fernando Negro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Pedrinho de Queirós made a huge save.
