Blue avalanche's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mohamad Salah was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldo Crispín in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Slavey Dochevski saved Blue avalanche from getting behind. Ronaldo Crispín struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Slavey Dochevski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for São Paulo F.C.. Slavey Dochevski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dirk Snabl in the 12th minute of play. A collision led to São Paulo F.C. getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Murillo Cordeiro hit a great ball. Tiago Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohamad Salah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tiago Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohamad Salah in the 21st minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, São Paulo F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Stanislav Búlgarov came free, but Tiago Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Slavey Dochevski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dirk Snabl, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The audience was convinced that Dirk Snabl's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Slavey Dochevski was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. São Paulo F.C.'s Tiago Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanislav Búlgarov in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Stanislav Búlgarov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tiago Godoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 44 minutes into the match, Blue avalanche's goal looked a bit too open when Dirk Snabl came free, but Slavey Dochevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ronaldinho Gaúcho was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 46th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After the first half Blue avalanche were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stanislav Búlgarov was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omurtag Púrvulov in the 52nd minute of play forced São Paulo F.C.'s goalkeeper Tiago Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute of the match, Mohamad Salah tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tiago Godoi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Marco Llorienzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Yaya Sow came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the São Paulo F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yaya Sow couldn't finish the play. Tiago Godoi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mohamad Salah showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 73 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Mohamad Salah kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tiago Godoi. That made the score 0-3 in the 76 minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, São Paulo F.C.'s goalkeeper Tiago Godoi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Omurtag Púrvulov. If Dirk Snabl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stanislav Búlgarov who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Tiago Godoi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 94th match minute, Blue avalanche was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stanislav Búlgarov to maneuver through the defense. Blue avalanche's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
