Newells Old Boys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Red Bull Magnus the free kick. After 3 played minutes Newells Old Boys got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Blanco. When Red Bull Magnus's Bass Dost in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Newells Old Boys's goalie prevented a goal. In the 4thth minute of the game Bass Dost who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Newells Old Boys's Serafino Jurdan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 6 minutes of play, Red Bull Magnus's Bass Dost made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serafino Jurdan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cláudio Bittencourt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silverio Tuste in the 13th minute of the match. Bass Dost's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Serafino Jurdan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Newells Old Boys's Serafino Jurdan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ayi Kusumah in the 21st minute of play. Cláudio Bittencourt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silverio Tuste's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. In the 26th minute Bass Dost shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafino Jurdan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Bass Dost notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Newells Old Boys's Serafino Jurdan. Serafino Jurdan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Serafino Jurdan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ayi Kusumah in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Mauro Loureiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Red Bull Magnus's Paulo Renato Trigo was substituted for Gerson Cruzado. Mauro Loureiro kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Paulo Renato Trigo hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 43rd match minute, Newells Old Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesar Cordairo to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Bass Dost made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Red Bull Magnus's Ayi Kusumah sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Serafino Jurdan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cláudio Bittencourt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silverio Tuste, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Ayi Kusumah walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Red Bull Magnus's You Wei Xing was substituted for Bass Dost. Red Bull Magnus's Richard Hefter was substituted for Paulo Renato Trigo. In the 72nd match minute, Newells Old Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adan Chinto to maneuver through the defense. Newells Old Boys's Serafino Jurdan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Newells Old Boys from getting a goal against them. Serafino Jurdan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ayi Kusumah in the 83rd minute of the match. After 87 played minutes Newells Old Boys got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Blanco. Serafino Jurdan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ayi Kusumah showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 88 minute of play. If You Wei Xing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serafino Jurdan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from You Wei Xing in the 97th minute of the match.
