ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK's Taha Günden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Blanco in the 96th minute of play. In the 98th minute of the match Newells Old Boys got a corner. ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elias Medeiros ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 98 played minutes Newells Old Boys got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Itzaina. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
