Taha Günden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Creemers in the 5th minute of play. The supporters of Racing Matinette booed when ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Cordarrell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martin Cordarrells short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got Casper Jans to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience was convinced that Yan Zhi Chuan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Casper Jans was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Gunter Waller hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Casper Jans made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yan Zhi Chuan in the 19th minute. In the 29th minute of the match ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK got a corner. Racing Matinette's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hazım Başdoğan ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Eddy Rüegsegger managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. If Yan Zhi Chuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taha Günden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alonzo Peruxu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK's Taha Günden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marquinhos Munhoz in the 40th minute of play. Taha Günden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonzo Peruxu in the 41st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alonzo Peruxu in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Taha Günden saved ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK from getting behind. In the 43rd minute, Yu Le Xi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Racing Matinette's Alan Creemers got a free kick in the 47th minute. Casper Jans made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yan Zhi Chuan in the 48th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yan Zhi Chuan made a kick off. In the 54th minute of the match ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK got a corner. Racing Matinette's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hazım Başdoğan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Yan Zhi Chuan scored 1-0 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Casper Jans, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Yan Zhi Chuan came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yan Zhi Chuan couldn't finish the play. 63 minutes into the game, Alonzo Peruxu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Taha Günden was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK's Taha Günden proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK from getting a goal against them. Casper Jans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Cordarrell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Racing Matinette's Ivar Axelsson in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 89th minute Alonzo Peruxu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taha Günden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91stth minute of the game Hasan Kabakchi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing Matinette's Casper Jans was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 94 minutes into the game, Jens Verheecke was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Racing Matinette's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK the free kick. Hazım Başdoğan might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Casper Jans. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hazım Başdoğan ran back to his position shaking his head. The Racing Matinette players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
